*  Practicing is a must! (And it's fun once you establish practice as a habit and routine!) At the beginning of the year, we will discuss and set realistic practice times, goals that need to be followed to the best of your abilities, and pick music that you will enjoy playing as you put in the hard work of learning a new instrument and developing your musicality. 

 

*  Performance opportunities: My studio will provide at least two performance opportunities in the form of showcases throughout the school year and students may choose to participate (Usually Christmas and the end of the school year). Performing is a great opportunity for most students, and any opportunities to perform outside the studio, whether through school, church, Kiwanis, community events, your living room etc., are encouraged and can be set as goals throughout the year. 

 

*  If you are taking piano lessons for the purpose of completing formalized training, such as RCM/Conservatory Canada exams (practical or theory) or Kiwanis Festival, please discuss those goals with me during your initial lesson. 

 

*  Payment: Payment is per term (Usually 10-12 weeks per term) and rates are for 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and one hour. 

 

 

*  There are no makeup lessons for lessons missed. Phone or Skype lessons during the student’s regular lesson time are an option for those that are mildly sick or for inclement weather. If lessons are cancelled due to weather or my own health, a makeup lesson time will be offered within that week.
